Today I learned... udon

Udon in Tokyo
A student told me that there are different thicknesses of udon in Japan and depending on the thickness, you can tell where the udon originated. In the Shikoku region,  Udon noodles are fat while in the Tokoku region, Udon noodles are much thinner.

Most foreigners, non-Japanese are familiar with the Shikoku Udon, also known as, Sanuki. Shikoku's Kagawa prefecture takes pride in its udon claiming it has the best udon in Japan :)

If you ever have the chance to visit, you should definitely try it.
