Mississippi at night

We ended up walking to Jackson's Square (see the cathedral one last time) and walked to the port/harbour of the Mississippi. There was jazz music. It was super windy

I'm going to miss New Orleans :(

walking around the French Quarters one last time

this is such an adorable oyster

We wanted to make the most out of it, so we spent one last time roaming the streets of the French Quarter

I don't know what these stickers are for.

These are pictures from Aerin's phone

We were impressed by their creativity in reusing oyster shells

Cafe Beignet

Our first stop is at Cafe Beignet. We were just minutes from their last call (to order) cut-off time.

This is such a beautiful cafe, we walked past it (and its sister stores) a few times and wanted to try it and compare it to how similar or different it is to Cafe Du Monde. There is almost nothing similar to them other than their menu items (which tastes very different, too).

The interior of this cafe was enough to convince me that I was in France.

Their beignets were really good. Like other places, this beignet was huge. It felt chewier than Cafe Du Monde's. But I liked both equally <3

I really liked the French cafe style chair they had. They were not comfy (they feel as they look), but felt sturdier than they look.

Below are pictures from Aerin's perspective.

last/final night in New Orleans

I can't believe our trip is coming to an end. New Orleans is so beautiful <3 I took this picture to remember just how beautiful this place is.

But! The night is still young and we decided to make use of these final hours :)

walking around

It was still a bit early after our late lunch... we left around 5pm... we did some walking around (and slowly headed back to our hotel)

hole in the clouds

It was a bit emotional for us since we knew the countdown towards the end of the trip was near. We talked and talked and talked.

We got "lost" but took that as an adventure since that meant we could see more of the city :)

Mother's restaurant

It was still early after we left the Aquarium and we were a bit hungry. Aerin suggested we go checkout Mother's. It is famous and a lot of celebrities and politicians have been there.

Everything looked so good <3

But after days of seafood, I settled for a ham omelette (which they are known for) and a bisquit.

This is the biscuit... it is huge :O

This is ham omelette.. it was so good :D...

Their usual hot sauces to pair with the food :D

Aerin is happy with all these hot sauces :D

some pictures of notable guests :) (There were a lot more, but I couldn't take pictures since this place was quite full and it seemed rude to take pictures)

There were a lot of people, I'm thankful we got a table :)

receipt :)

This biscuit is so good <3

Down the Bayou

We arrived at the aquarium :)... There was so much to see! :)

We got to pet stingrays (I couldn't take a picture). Those stingrays were very friendly :)
