a matter of perception

a Japanese store in Asakusa

Psychology tells us that we tend to instantly associate with things which are familiar to us. The Bible proved this when Judas (who eventually betrays Jesus) pointed his finger at when he thought he was going to betray Jesus, in fact, it turns out in the end, he was the one who betrays Jesus.

A simple picture with a person with a backpack and most who are still going to school will assume that the person is a student, while those who have long left school only see a person standing there.

spices? herbs? no? Japanese rice cracker snacks! shocked!

I guess you understand what I am trying to say here. The reason I am saying this is I have just experienced this with my friend the other day.

It all began a few nights ago when we were talking about the difficulties of finding herbs in Tokyo. And while walking in Asakusa, we saw a shop from a distance and said "herb shop"! We were really excited only to be disappointed when we got near enough to discover that these are not herbs... they are traditional Japanese Rice Snacks...

What did you think they were?
