I found this international version of Japanese カイロ (kairo) at my local Walmart!! I'm so glad they are available in Toronto!! It was like finding an old friend... in another form... :) hello to warm pockets!! :D
They are made in the US but the manufacturer/brand is Kobayashi :) So they are American-made Japanese Kairo's! :D
