Today I learned that pizzas in Japan do not use peameal or chickpea powder to prevent the pizza crust from sticking to the pizza pan, they use powder cheese such as: Parmesan

Today I learned... teabags in Japan and everywhere else

To be fair, I'm not sure whether this is only in Japan or in the rest of the world (since Twinings is from the UK). But most teabags I have used do not have any staples. This is very convenient, it avoids any accidental mishaps with microwaves when you want to quickly make your tea and the metal doesn't ruin the taste of the tea.

On the other hand... I noticed that most teabags I have used in Canada always had a staple... why????

As it increasingly gets colder, my body is hinting that I need tea, so I went to Kaldi and found these two.

Clean teeth

I finally found an electric toothbrush that is not run on batteries but that actually has a stand and lets you recharge!

(yes... I do know that this one runs on battery... but the rechargeable feature makes it so much more powerful than one that does not)

Salty Milk Ice Cream with Olive oil?

yes... you didn't read the title wrong... I went to a fancy dining place in Ginza and they served salty milk ice cream with Olive oil... 

here goes nothing... 

I much preferred salty milk ice cream by itself... the salt made it unique enough... the olive oil was strange...

The samosas were good... but why they did the restaurant pair them with ketchup and a strange mint sauce.....????????? >____<

Clam Chowder

As the weather gets cold... I find my body constantly craving warm hearty foods... so I made myself a pot of clam chowder... not from scratch though... Thank God for canned soup :P
