Buster Baxter draws his friends
I wish I had Buster’s creativity—his ability to see people so clearly and translate that into art is truly something special.

GoodNotes no more
Once my go-to for digital note-taking, GoodNotes used to be everything I needed—clean, efficient, and intuitive. I loved it so much I nearly bought the full version when it was still a one-time purchase.
(click here for my full review and ranting!!)
But after their big update, everything changed. They swapped the one-time payment for a subscription model, added confusing version tiers, and overloaded the app with flashy AI tools and a math solver. Instead of improving the experience, it left me overwhelmed and frustrated.
The simple, thoughtful interface was replaced by clutter. I haven’t opened the app since.
I thought I found my perfect creative space—turns out, I haven’t. So here I am, back on the hunt for a simple, no-frills note-taking app where I can let my ideas flow without getting lost in features I didn’t ask for.
Goodbye, GoodNotes. Sometimes less really is more.
RIP GoodNotes.
