Only in America...? XD

found this online, thought I would share it with you...

(lol, it took me a while to get #4, and I don't get #11 >.<)

1. Only in America......can a pizza get to your house faster than an ambulance.

2. Only in America......are there handicap parking places in front of a skating rink.

3. Only in America......do drugstores make the sick walk all the way to the back of the store to get their prescriptions while healthy people can buy cigarettes at the front.

4. Only in America......do people order double cheeseburgers, large fries, and a diet coke.

5. Only in America......do banks leave both doors open and then chain the pens to the counters.

6. Only in America......do we leave cars worth thousands of dollars in the driveway and put our useless junk in the garage.

7. Only in America......do we use answering machines to screen calls and then have call waiting so we won't miss a call from someone we didn't want to talk to in the first place.

8. Only in America......do we buy hot dogs in packages of ten and buns in packages of eight.

9. Only in America......do we use the word 'politics' to describe the process so well: 'Poli' in Latin meaning 'many' and 'tics' meaning 'bloodsucking creatures'

. 10. Only in America......do they have drive-up ATM's with Braille lettering.

11.Only in America.....Will you go to a restraunt in seaworld and ask for bandaids and get mayonnaise

The Bible Contains:

The mind of God, the state of man, the way of salvation, the doom of sinners, and the happiness of believers. It's doctrines are holy, it's precepts are binding, it's histories are true, and it's decisions are immutable. Read it to be wise, believe it to be safe, and practice it to be holy. It contains light to direct you, food to support you, and comfort to cheer you. It is the traveler's map, the pilgrim's staff, the pilot's compass, the soldier's sword, and the Christian's charter.
It's where paradise is restored, Heaven opened, and the gates of hell disclosed. Christ is it's grand subject, our good it's design, and the glory of God it's end. It should fill the memory, rule the heart, and guide the feet. Read it slowly, frequently, and prayerfully. It is a mine of wealth, a paradise of glory, and a river of pleasure. It is given you in life, will be open at judgment, and be remembered forever. It involves the highest responsibility, rewards the greatest labor, and condemns all who trifle with it's holy contents.
just to add to the theme.. I've added a midi.. hope you could hear it! ^u^

Just had this urge to comment and write this out for you all to C...
A university professor challenged his students with this question. "Did God create everything that exists?"
A student bravely replied yes, he did!"
God created everything?" The professor asked.
"Yes, sir," the student replied.
The professor answered, "If God created everything, then God created evil since evil exists, and according to the principal that our works define who we are then God is evil."
The student became quiet before such an answer.
The professor was quite pleased with himself and boasted to the students that he had proven once more that the Christian faith was a myth.
Another student raised his hand and said, "Can I ask you a question, professor?"
"Of course," replied the professor.
The student stood up and asked, "Professor, does cold exist?"
"What kind of question is this? Of course it exists. Have you never been cold?"
The students snickered at the young man's question.
The young man replied, "In fact sir, cold does not exist. According to the laws of physics, what we consider cold is in reality the absence of heat. Everybody and every object is susceptible to study when it has or transmits energy, and heat is what makes a body or matter have or transmit energy."
"Absolute zero (- 460 degrees F) is the total absence of heat; all matter becomes inert and incapable of reaction at that temperature. Cold does
not exist." "We have created this word to describe how we feel if we
have too little
heat."
The student continued. "Professor, does darkness exist?"
The professor responded, "Of course it does".
The student replied, "Once again you are wrong, sir, darkness does not exist either. Darkness is in reality the absence of light. Light we can study, but not darkness. In fact, we can use Newton's prism to break white light into many colors and study the various wavelengths of each color. You cannot measure darkness. A simple ray of light can break into a world of darkness and Illuminate it. How can you know how dark a certain space is? You measure the amount of light present. Isn't this correct? Darkness is a term used by man to describe what happens when there is no light present."
Finally the young man asked the professor. "Sir, does evil exist?"
Now uncertain, the professor responded, "Of course as I have already said. We see it every day. It is in the daily example of man's inhumanity to man. It is in the multitude of crime and violence everywhere in the world. These manifestations are nothing else but evil."
To this the student replied, "Evil does not exist sir, or at least it does not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God. It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is not like faith, or love, that exist just as does light and heat. Evil is the result of what happens when man does not have God's love present in his heart. It's like the cold that comes when there is no heat, or the darkness that comes when there is no light."
The professor sat down.
The young man's name: Albert Einstein

hahaha... stupid prof. tsk tsk tsk... lol
anywayz... ttyl... remember to comment! lol

  • My response... the definition of God, in the Christian term is
    1) omnicient (all knowing)
    2) omnipresent (everywhere at once)
    3) omnipotent (all powerful)
In this definition, just hte existence of God everywhere would mean that there is NO place that goodness does not exist... becuz his essence is everywhere...
If the kid's response states that "evil" is the lackness of good... then it means that God does not exist at that place.. which would be false.. cuz God is omnipresent...
Anywayz... I just saw a flaw in the posted argument and had to give my view..

There must be something going around, her father even got hot last night.

Hey All!

Sorry guys, haven't blogged for a long time!... FINALLY THE LAST WEEK OF SCHOOL!! Just can't wait!! I just have so many plans for Christmas...

anywayz... just recently.. I got an email from Garfield... I thought that this was really 'meaningful' (don't give me that look Sof! lol)

Its called Every House

Every household should have an emergency anti-depression kit in their medicine cabinet that should always contain:

An Eraser, to make your troubles disappear,

A Penny, so you're never broke,

A Marble, to prove that you didn't loose them all,

A Rubber band, to help you stretch beyond your limits,

A String, to tie things together when everything falls apart,

And hugs and kisses, to remind you that someone cares.

umm... I don't know if I changed my background... (cause I'm writing before I actually choose to or not... but if I do... please comment on whether it is good or not... k? Thanks!)

ttyl... sorry didn't know what to say but i'm glad I did say something! lol see ya!
