Salty Milk Ice Cream with Olive oil?

yes... you didn't read the title wrong... I went to a fancy dining place in Ginza and they served salty milk ice cream with Olive oil... 

here goes nothing... 

I much preferred salty milk ice cream by itself... the salt made it unique enough... the olive oil was strange...

Tonight's dinner: Pesto

Pesto shrimp and broccoli fusilli

bought this at my local grocery store... it was good! :D

I'm surprised as to how popular pesto sauce seems to be in Japan. I thought it was a western sauce and nobody other than Italians and North Americans truly liked it... but when I came to Japan, I found that they found many ways to use pesto sauce: as a cheese sauce (as in you have mozzarella cheese drizzled with pesto sauce) and as a rice sauce (yes, they exist! :O).

Nonetheless, I really like Pesto sauce and am glad that I can find it almost anywhere in Tokyo :)

Tomato omelet with cheese

Ever since I had a throat infection (from a few weeks ago) I lost my appetite. Something as simple as a cheesy tomato omelet (with two eggs) is enough to fill me up for dinner. So that was what I made today :)
