Dry Dock Cafe

my perspective

After learning that we were deserted on this side with no ETA to return by ferry, we decided to settle down in the only place that was open. It was a mix of a pub/bar, and cafe. The other places were all closed. THe outside and the name were a bit deceiving, it is called "Dry Dock Cafe"

It was too cold and windy to take a picture, so I took a screenshot from Google Maps... as you can see, this is what it looks like on the outside.

They are proud of LSU :)

Nothing can change our mood! We are cheering with Coffee! (The coffee was really good <3)

Coffee

The waitress/server at this establishment was not used to serving people who were not locals, she wasn't rude, she just didn't know how to show genuine hospitality, like most in New Orleans, she was fair but firm.

Coffee!!! :D

This coffee was really good... by the time we found and got into this place, the wind made it feel quite cold outside. I was thankful for this coffee, it kept me warm.

We were fascinated with the salt and pepper shakers (do you see anything cool about them?). They have handles!

I liked the 'old' newspaper advertisements, though, I questioned how old they are (given by some of their listed prices).

Aerin and discussed, perhaps the reason why this side of New Orleans is less developed and vibrant than the main, French side is because of the natural inconveniences, I mean... how can a town properly be developed when something as simple (and as frequent) as the wind can get into its way of being accessible?

Despite the inconveniences, this place was an adventure in itself.
