Birthday Post

Here are the lessons I learned this year.

1. Always respond with kindness

We don't know what others are going through, and almost everyone is going through something

2. Be Positive!

Think good thoughts, be happy, forget bad things and don't dwell on negative thoughts!

3. God never gets tired of listening to me

If I want to rant, I go to Him! 🙏

It's my Birthday! 🎂

It's my Birthday!

Every year I try to reflect on things I learned and have accomplished. These are the things I have learned:

1. Those who matter won't mind, and those who mind won't matter.

I can't stress enough how true this is. When I reflect on my friendships from years ago compared to those I have now, a clear pattern emerges. The friends who have stayed through thick and thin, regardless of how I may have stumbled along our journey, are the ones who remain steadfast and our friendship has only grown stronger. On the other hand, those individuals I once believed held great significance in my life often vanished at the first sign of a misstep or when they perceived that I no longer held the same importance in their eyes.

2. Don't take things for granted. Appreciate what you have.

I can't emphasize the importance of this. We don't realize how much something matters to us until we lose them. For example, when I lost my trees... yes, they were always there for me, but I never realized how important and how much they would affect me with their presence.

I try to cherish each relationship and everything I have.

3. Be Positive.

I wasn't aware of the effects of being negative till I met a very negative person. She actually "had it all" a job, a house, a family and friends, yet she will complain that God did her bad because of a few inconveniences. God definitely spoke to me while I tried to convince her that she should be focusing on the good she has.

Her negativity resulted in her family leaving her and her friends ignoring her calls.

I learned through her that it is okay to complain but at the same time, look for the good.

4. Trust God

This has been tough for me, but I have learned to trust God in all circumstances. I also learned that He is the only one who cares about me more than anyone or anything in the world.

5. It is okay to Lament.

Throughout the past year, God has shown me that I can lament and complain to Him because He cares (there is a WHOLE book in the bible called Lamentations!). A lot of times, I have considered complaining to friends... (who care about me) but there is only so much they can do, BUT God is different, He cares and He can do something about our circumstances and suffering, so why not run the best source.

The media doesn't talk about this enough, but when the premier of Nova Scotia cried out to God (regarding the horrifying wildfires engulfing the province in May/June) God answered and He extinguished them.

I take these lessons to me as I move on to next year. filled with hope and living through God's promises for me. May I grow another year wiser :)

Thanks for your support for this blog and for me this year <3

It's my birthday!

I am excited about what this year has to offer :).

Last year was quite painful for me... I lost a few best friends (yes, plural... because best friends is a tire, not a status). I had to painfully let go of a few friends who had grown toxic. As Marie Kondo says, I should get rid of it if it doesn't spark joy.

Here are a few other things I learned:

  • treasure those who treasure me
  • remember to count my blessings
  • God is always good
  • there is a reason why I feel pain, no matter how good it looks... when I feel it, I should stop and find what is causing that pain
  • if they treat me badly... they mostly treat others as bad... compare notes with friends
  • losing a friend is worse... far worse than losing a boyfriend
  • hoard less
🍾 Here's to a wonderful year up ahead! :D  🥂

lol... as you guys well.. most of you know, its my birthday today... thanks so much for everyone for wishing me a happy birthday,
Thanks to Ross for his birthday card, and Meiling's (well... its being downloaded right now) movie clip!! thanks to you guys!!

anywayz... first week of Uni was awesome.. and not too awesome... Awesome because of all those wonderful people I had met but not too awesome because of the workload we have been piled up with, which marks the beginning of the school year.

and I might as well include this in this entry.. FROSH week was awesome, luckily I didn't lose my voice  *yeah! joined a few clubs and got lots of free gifts... ai.. not in the mood to type all those cool events yet... do that another time... that is..... if I still remember what happened... lol

OMG! so speaking, yesterday, my mom got so sick, so I went with her to see her doctor, so happened, Edmond Leung was coming for some ummm signing thing, which is cool.. I was lucky to actually get a glimpse of him. He actually looks the same like on other medias and stuff!

I would also like to say that today, its like all these special things are happening in on my birthday this year such as the Mid-Autumn festival, Edmond Leung's Wonderland thing along with Bernice Liu, Leung somthing, Annie Heung, and Tong Mun Long..I didn't go, cause I figured I'll be squished in those huge Chinese crowds!!

oh... I've also been informed that Leo's concert also happens to be in TOronto today... OMG! isn't this neat?

lol.. ok... I'll end this long entry, which was suppose to make up for all those entries I've wanted to write, but didn't get a chance to for these past 2 weeks! =)
