Last Night's Blue Moon

Honolulu Cookies

 

These chocolate chip macadamia mini bites from Honolulu Cookie Company are quite good :)

But, they don't have much of a chocolate or macadamia nut taste, it is more like caramel and shortbread (but in a good way). (the sugar content is also not very high, 1.4g of sugar per piece)

I followed an online "recipe" and tried this: peanut butter toast with apple wedges/slices on top.

It tasted delicious <3... the textures work, the tastes complemented each other <3... I highly recommend this <3

These are some things I like about the States that I wish were also available in Canada! They are so good :3... but I think they are 大人の味 (meaning the taste is more enjoyable for adults than kids).

My dad made a sweet steamed egg dessert today :) this reminds me of when we were in Hong Kong and went to a famous steamed egg dessert place in WanChai for a midnight snack (消夜).
